Pickering Brook Primary School ensures clear and time-appropriate communication to parents and stakeholders, through a number of mechanisms.


Connect is the Department of Education’s communication platform and is used for all communications from the school and teachers to parents. It is a one-way communication tool used to provide information about events, class programs, excursions and incursions and other school information. Parents can receive Connect notices to their mobile devices and can also access Connect via computer. Parents can set-up their notifications to email or to their phones, and this can be tailored to suit the individual. It is imperative that every parent has Connect set-up as this is the school’s primary source of communication.

From time to time, teachers may make contact with individual parents to discuss student information or to arrange meetings. This contact will be made via email, phone or in-person. Parents are welcome to contact staff members via their Department email addresses which can be found through Connect.
